Squirtle is a Water-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation I of the Pokémon franchise, which began with Pokémon Red and Green in Japan and Pokémon Red and Blue in North America. Squirtle is known as the Tiny Turtle Pokémon, and it is one of the first Pokémon that players can choose from in these games.
