Pokemon Red

Pokemon Red is the first game in the pokemon game series that was published in 1996 for the Gameboy gaming console. The first version of the game was released as a Japanese version in 1996 and the English version of the game was released in 1999 in Europe. Pokemon Firered is an enhanced version of the game.

Story

This game is featured in Pallet Town. Professor Oak is the regional professor in this game. He stopped the payer at the beginning of the game when the player is waking in the grass. Professor says walking in the grass alone is dangerous. He brings the player to his lab where he meets with his grandsons and the more story began. The player selects his starter pokemon while the Professor’s grandsons always choose a stronger pokemon than the player’s.

Gameplay

Pokemon Red has a  third-person view. This game is consists of three screens with player navigation, setting, and battle screen. The game player is able to fight and capture wild pokemon. The screen switches to the battle screen when the player challenges or fights with pokemon. The Pokemon has hitpoints that decreased during the war.
