Gameplay Enhancements:
- New Types and Moves: The game introduces 118 new moves and alters the types of 180 existing moves. Notably, Pokémon can now possess up to three types simultaneously, adding complexity to battles. The regional Pokédex has been updated to feature 295 Pokémon, all assigned new types.
- Quality of Life Improvements: Players benefit from features like an infinite Rare Candy key item, an Escape Rope key item, and the ability to view the enemy party by pressing ‘L’ during battles. Additional enhancements include the option for Pokémon to relearn moves directly from the party screen, the inclusion of the latest generation mechanics and stats, and the availability of Ability Patches and Ability Capsules in most marts.
Storyline and Challenges:
The narrative has been adjusted to align with the new types. Gym Leaders and Elite Four members now specialize in these new types, offering fresh challenges for players. Additionally, non-gym and non-rival trainers have randomized teams, with the randomization scaled based on similar strength, ensuring a balanced yet unpredictable gameplay experience.
Special Type Interactions:
Unique interactions have been designed for certain types. For example:
- Dream type Pokémon cannot be put to sleep.
